This is a working draft of the "Name Index - by city" chapter
in my forthcoming book,
(ca. 2028),
FolkLib Index: Wisconsin Discography.
The links on this page go to the discography for each artist or group that
is listed at this site. Currently, this page lists artists/groups that
have an individual entry on a Wisconsin music page here, whether or not
they have ever recorded anything.
This chapter will list every known city or cities where a
listed artist lives or at one time lived in Wisconsin, or where a listed
group is or was based. There may be multiple entries for performers who
lived in more than one Wisconsin city at one time in their life, based on
their Wisconsin residency as described in the
Book Selection Criteria.
WANTED: A volunteer or volunteers for each Wisconsin city who
will serve as a resource for additional names of
Recording Artists who
have lived in their city, as well as new
Record Labels,
Music Stores,
Recording Studios,
Live Music Venues and
Annual Music Festivals.
Please write
if you would like to
help. Also note whether or not I have your permission to list your name
on this page and in this book as one of the resources for a particular
city.
Benefits:
1) Knowledge that you are have assisted in expanding
the information about and for the Wisconsin music community,
2) Acknowledgment in the book,
3) A link on this page to your Home Page for each city for which you
volunteer.
None = means I have searched my entire Web site and I have no knowledge
of any musician in any genre of music who ever lived in this city.
No known recordings = artists/groups who, if no recording
of any kind can be found by them, will not be listed in this book

- I have been personally assured that the following recording artists
have lived somewhere in Wisconsin at one time, but I do not have
permission to say where, either on the Web site or in the book. As I
cannot publicly document that any one of these musicians ever lived in
a specific Wisconsin city, none of the following names, nor the
Illinois based band they are in, will be mentioned in the book.
