The APRL is inside the Headquarters of the American Philatelic Society (APS).

#FolderList
The AFDCS Archives Folder List has been created by the APRL. It was first published on their website in May 2025. Each First Day Cover (FDC) Cachetmaker and Cachet Line (aka trade name) has a separate pocket folder that contains material that has been submitted by members since the AFDCS was founded in 1955. As of 5-20-2025 there are about 2,300 folders on the 52 pages of the APRL's Folder List. Thanks to the APRL, for the first time since the Archives was started, First Day Cover researchers now know exactly what is in the AFDCS Archive. Also, importantly, we now know what is NOT in the Archives. Let this be a call to all FDC enthusiasts to submit information for new folders and folders that already exist, unserviced blank cachets, stuffer cards, and other documentation about specific Cachetmakers and Cachet Lines. Do NOT send serviced covers. An in-person reference facility for researching serviced covers does not exist at this time. Send documentation to:

Maybe someday, but currently, there is no direct link to the AFDCS Archives Folder List, and it cannot be viewed on the APRL website. It can only be downloaded to your personal device. To find the PDF, follow these steps:
1) Click on the link below
2) Click on the "Electronic Resources" button (to the left of the button for Elon Musk's personal website)
3) Download the PDF.

Photos I took on 6-13-2023 from my seat at a study table in the main floor reading room of the APRL. The last photo was taken on 6-11-2024 in the APRL parking lot. Living 740 miles away from it, my annual 6/12-13/2023, 6/10-11/2024, and 6/9-11/2025 research visits to the APRL were made possible because Bellefonte is on the way home after a week spent at mlag.org.
